N. Macedonia's FITR to Support MSMEs

North Macedonia's Fund for Innovation and Technology Development (FITR) said on Monday it will provide EUR 5.06 million in grants to local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to back their technological development and growth, reported news portal SeeNews.

The grants will co-finance expenses such as salaries, technical support, research and development, digitalization, purchase of equipment or software, as well as costs related to the implementation of technological development plans, FITR said in a statement.

Micro companies are eligible for funding of up to MKD 2.5 million (EUR 40,550), small firms can apply for grants of up to MKD 5 million, whereas medium-sized companies will be backed with grants of up to MKD 10 million.

Companies can apply for funding until May 5.
