The European Union will award a grant totaling up to EUR 200,000 across twelve projects in six Serbian municipalities to support creative and innovative ideas in the field of tourism and cultural heritage, Serbia's Tourism Ministry said, according to SeeNews.

These projects aim to enrich the tourist offer in an innovative and sustainable way, thus contributing to the economic development of local communities, the EU Projects in Serbia, an organization run by the ministry said in a press release last week.

The EU and the German government are financing the project, which is being implemented by the German development agency Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Serbia's EU Cultural Heritage and Tourism program.
