Alteo inaugurates battery storage facility

Listed alternative energy company Alteo inaugurated a 5 MW battery storage facility in Kazincbarcika (180 km northeast of Budapest) yesterday, according to an announcement on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange.

In a press release, Alteo said it won a HUF 228 million European Union grant for the project as well as HUF 250 mln in EU-supported credit.

With the inauguration, Alteo's combined battery storage capacity stands at 11 MW, making it market leader in Hungary.
