The continuous decline of traditional telecommunication devices is being observed year after year due to the proliferation of message applications, the latest research by the National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH) revealed.

Many apps and programs have been created to replace traditional telephone communication, and new developments appear almost weekly. Hungarian internet users favor Messenger, Viber, and WhatsApp for voice calls and chats.

According to the research, as is common with new services, innovation spreads first among younger age groups, while older people stick longer to traditional methods.
