Slovakia Construction Output Jumps in September

Construction output in Slovakia rose 6% year-on-year in September, up from a 4% increase in the previous month, data from the Bratislava-based Slovak Statistical Office (SÚSR) showed on Monday.

It was the largest growth since February, as domestic production grew for the fifth month (5.3% vs 5.4% in August), driven by increased activity for new construction (8.9%), and engineering construction works (19.5%).

At the same time, construction abroad rebounded (11.2% vs -7%), after declining for three consecutive periods.

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output advanced 2.4%.
