Moldova Industrial Output Rebounds Sharply in February
Moldova's industrial production increased by 10% year-on-year in February, rebounding sharply from a downwardly revised 2.5% fall in the previous month, Trading Economics reported citing data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
There were strong recoveries in the production for mining & quarrying (5.7% vs -27.2% in January) and manufacturing (17.1% vs -7.9%).
On the other hand, output for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning shrank (-6.6% vs 10.7%).
On a monthly basis, industrial activity surged by 14.7% in February, after a downwardly revised 24% slump in the prior month.
