Estonian Industrial Output Shrinks in November

Estonia's industrial production fell 5.8% year-on-year in November, sharply slowing from a 12.2% fall in the previous month, Statistics Estonia (SE) said in a statement.

It was the 18th consecutive month of contraction in industrial production but the softest pace since August 2022, as output decreased to a lesser extent for manufacturing (-5.4% vs -12.6% in October) and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (-10.8% vs -14%).

Meanwhile, output tumbled for mining & quarrying (-2.4% vs 12.9%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose 2.6% in November, recovering from a 0.5% drop in the previous month, data from the Tallinn-based statistics agency show.
