Motorists Pay HUF 52,599 in Annual Vehicle Insurance Premiums

Hungarian motorists paid almost HUF 52,500 for their annual compulsory vehicle insurance premiums, on average, in the third quarter, according to a report published by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on its website.

The amount was 12% more than in the same period a year earlier.

Motorists in Budapest paid higher premiums, with the average yearly fee coming to HUF 75,000.

The average premium for individual policies covering taxis rose 11% to HUF 146,900, while the premium for trucks rose 10% to HUF 92,100.

The average premium for fleet passenger cars increased by 19% to HUF 75,900.
