Hungarian wastewater treatment plant handed over in Ghana

The first wastewater treatment plant built with Hungarian technology in Ghana has been handed over, according to origo.hu.
The handover took place in May, at a solemn ceremony organized with the participation of high-level government and business actors. The Kumasi Wastewater Treatment Plant was designed and built by the Pureco-Unit Consortium for one of Ghana's largest privately held businesses, the Jospong Group of Companies.
The Hungarian export credit agency, EXIM, provided financing for the investment in the form of a so-called customer loan, where the client provided the loans to the Ghanaian party, thus ensuring the implementation of the project, the success of the Hungarian consortium's exports, and a stable financial return.
