Applications for the cybersecurity challenge of the National Institute of Cyber Protection (NKI) are now open, the deputy spokesman of the National Security Service Tamás Boross said in Budapest yesterday, according to profitline.hu.

The winners of this year's competition will be invited to the 10-member Hungarian team participating in the European Cyber Security Challenge in Vienna in September.

The competition aims to put together a "hit" Hungarian team for the European Championships in Vienna, but they also consider it important to promote the profession, find new talent and increase cyber security awareness, Boross emphasized.

Hungarian citizens over the age of 16 who register here by midnight on Monday, July 18, can participate in the challenge.
