State Spends HUF 70 bln on Disabled Employment

Every year, the state supports the employment of people with altered work abilities with more than HUF 70 billion, explained Deputy State Secretary for Social Affairs Péter Csizi of the Ministry of the Interior, on Tuesday in Dabas (45 km southeast of Budapest), according to online business daily Világgazdaság.

At the ceremonial opening of a new site of Alkotó Magyarország Nonprofit Kft., which belongs to the Prohuman group of companies, employing workers with altered working abilities, the politician said the government provides more than HUF 9 bln in national subsidies to preserve the competitiveness of protected workplaces.

Alkotó Nonprofit received almost HUF 1 bln of this to support 400 employees, as the Prohuman company group not only preserves jobs but also creates new ones.
